Virtual insights into the working world of tomorrow
The two Stuttgart-based Fraunhofer Institutes IPA and IAO have developed an online platform that makes the Future Work Lab and various other research laboratories virtual and accessible.
For the new online platform, the researchers in the “FutureWork360” project, together with partners from Hemminger Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH, created digital images of various laboratories using a 3D laser scanner. Four virtual lab tours lead through the working world of the future. Thematically, the project is initially dedicated to the challenges of more than 300 French companies that belong to the industry and research association for plastics processing “Plastipolis”. The virtual tours are available in German, English and French. Interested visitors have the opportunity to get in touch with the scientists in web sessions. The FutureWork360 project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research within the framework of the international research marketing campaign known as “The Future of Work”.
